A record number of Americans underwent lip augmentation procedures in 2015, making them the second fastest growing facial procedure in the United States since 2000, according to new data from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). It was reported that more than 27,000 lip augmentation procedures took place last year. According the ASPS over 2.8 filler procedures were performed. I feel the lip augmentation number may be grossly under reported based on the sheer volume of lips perrsonally performed right here in my clinic in Hampton NH.
Lip augmentation procedures have been around for quite a while, but new technology is taking the industry by storm. With the myriad of options to augment the lips, the choices are limitless.
The newer implants or what we call filler are made from soft, flexible hyaluronic acid and are more stable and pliable than previous fillers. A lip augmentation can be removed by a skilled injector if patients decide they no longer want them. This increases the comfort patients have by knowing they can be reversed.
However, dont be fooled, not every injector has the skill to reverse them.

Cost for lip augmentations range based on the end aesthetic goal. Your first sitting will be $600. Most clients will want another sitting but individual goals and results vary.
