WHAT IS SKIN REJUVENATION?
Skin rejuvenation is a non-surgical method for facial rejuvenation that utilizes your very own growth factors to stimulate healing and repair.
Growth factors found in the blood are responsible for healing and repairing. A small amount of your blood is drawn and placed in a sterile tube that is then spun in a centrifuge separating the different components of the blood. The red and white blood cells are divided from the platelets (the root of youth) and the plasma (the healing properties).
The plasma that has been separated now contains a higher than normal concentration of platelets. Now your own sample is ready to start transforming your skin’s appearance to a luminous and youthful glow as you receive the treatment!
HOW DO PLATELETS REJUVENATE THE SKIN?
Platelets are a unique component in the blood that help tissues to heal and grow new cells. Once injected into specific areas of the skin, they act as a catalyst which stimulates your own collagen to grow, regenerates tissue and thus naturally smooths and tightens the skin. Treatments soften wrinkles and create smoother skin improving texture and tone.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING THE PROCEDURE?
Step one is drawing your blood. While the growth factor serum is being prepared, your skin will be cleansed and prepped for the treatment. The injections take only a few moments, and are only mildly uncomfortable. The procedure is quick (15-30 minutes total), and relatively painless.
Unlike many facial restorative procedures there is no downtime with skin rejuvenation. You can return to your normal activities immediately. You may experience mild swelling, redness, or bruising which often fade within 1-3 days (symptoms vary from individual to individual). The serum is made from your own cells, virtually eliminating the possibility of any negative side effects.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM THE RESULTS?
The goal of skin rejuvenation therapy is to improve skin tone and texture, tighten skin, soften lines and pores. Results begin to show 3-4 weeks after the treatment session and continue to improve over time. Three treatment sessions are generally recommended and are spaced 1-2 months apart in order to achieve the best outcome.
This skin therapy can be combined with microdermabrasion, chemical peels, Juvéderm Voluma and Botox Cosmetic to best target unique issues thus achieving the final goal of younger and more vibrant looking skin.
